This evening, we requested Shri Mataji to allow us to offer Her Rakhi on the occasion of Rakshabandhan. She gracefully granted us permission to do so.
After Her evening tea, Shri Mataji invited the collective into Her living room for this joyous and special occasion. A number of yogis of the local collective had the blessing to attend this wonderful event.
We began the puja by offering a huge bouquet of multicolor roses at Shri Mataji's Lotus Feet. Yogis then offered Rakhis to Shri Mataji, and She allowed us to place one rakhi on Her wrist.
A beautiful silk sari in the turquoise colour of Shri Krishna was offered. Then, since this was a full moon event (Narali Purnima), coconut sweets were also presented to Shri Mataji.
Following the puja, we brought in the musical instruments to sing some spirited bhajans. We sang 'Krishna Govinda' , 'Hari Bol, Hari Bol' and 'Mahamaya Mahakali', all with an accompaniment of tabla and flute.
It was such a blissful and festive event. We all felt so blessed to be present on this great occasion, and all of us were simply beaming with joy. Shri Mataji was looking so radiant and was greatly enjoying the spontaneous musical performances.
As the function concluded, we offered our humble gratitude to Shri Mataji for this opportunity and Her blessings.
Jai Shri Mataji
