land in the evening of Oct 8, 2006
Nirmal Nagari is the land that had been collectively acquired by
the Pune Sahaja collective a few years back. Spread over more than eleven
acres of greenery, the land awaits its blossoming into a holy pilgrimage, with
the hosting of the forthcoming Diwali Puja in October and with the blessings
of Her Holy Lotus Feet of Shri Mataji during the Puja.

Route
The venue is just short of twelve kilometers (12 km) from the
well known ‘Chandni Chowk’ square in the Kothrud locality of Pune (where Pune’s
main collectivity meditation Centre is located). ‘Chandni Chowk’ is also right
on the Mumbai-Pune Express Highway and is accessed by taking an exit from the highway
at Kothrud. Prominent deep green signboards navigate one from ‘Chandni Chowk’
right up to Nirmal Nagari. Transportation has been arranged from Pune railway
station to Nirmal Nagari for those who have requested for it. For those coming
on their own directions are as follows. From Pune railway station one can reach
‘Chandni Chowk’ by coming first to Pune Municipal Corporation, then to Jangli
Maharaj Road in Shivajinagar locality, then taking the Karve road and finally
taking the turn to Paud Road at S.N.D.T College flyover which would lead one to
‘Chandni Chowk’. From Pune airport one needs to take the Airport road to Yerwada
bridge (also known as Bund Garden bridge), then the Bund Garden road leads one
to the Pune railway station from where one can follow the directions written
above to reach ‘Chandni Chowk’ from the Pune railway station.

There is a beautiful lake in between ‘Bhugaon’ and ‘Bhukum’ and
beautiful fragrant yellow flowers are blossoming intermittently on both sides
of the road.
After a stretch of eight kilometers drive on the main road, crossing
‘Bhugaon’ village on the way, a Petrol Pump at ‘Bhukum’ village welcomes the
visitors. From here one needs to take a left turn to travel another three and a
half kilometers to arrive at the Holy land of Nirmal Nagari through the
beautiful green ‘Khatpewadi’ village on the way.

Construction/ Facilities at the site
Just at the entry point of Nirmal Nagari, the road suddenly
spreads its wings broad separated by road dividers. One is welcomed by the
grand wall lined on one side of the road leading up to the fountain at the
centre of the Holy land of Nirmal Nagari.

A vast and magnificent stage is seen under construction at the
site. Under a very well planned architecture and connected to the stage can be
seen coming up the divine abode of our most beloved Mother, Shri Mataji during
Her presence in the Holy land of Nirmal Nagari.

A huge space has been leveled adjoining the stage from where the
Sahaja Yogi brothers and sisters from across the globe shall be offering the
Puja in Her Holy presence of Shri Mataji.

Arrangements for accommodation of the Yoginis coming to attend
the Puja and staying within the Nirmal Nagari campus are under completion utilizing
a previously constructed covered shed of 8,000 square feet. More accommodation
for Yoginis is being provided in the form of tents that are being erected near
the entrance of the Nirmal Nagari campus. The covered shed has been in use
during earlier Nirakar pujas hosted in this holy land of Nirmal Nagari.

A few tin covered sheds are being erected on a small hillock
that will be used as the grand Kitchen and Dining arenas during the two days
event.

Arrangements to accommodate the Yogis are in progress in the
form of tents on the hillock near the Kitchen and Dining arenas. Arrangements
for toilet blocks housing 44 units totally are seen coming up near the covered
sheds. There will be 8 bathrooms, another 8 bathrooms with toilet and 28 independent
toilet units.

There will be a big space to park vehicles near the entrance to Nirmal
Nagari.
The pace of construction at the site could only have been
achieved by the blessings of our most beloved Mother. It is amazing to even
imagine that it was only last month when one would have found only a few
structures namely the covered shed (which is being planned to house the Sahaja
Yogini sisters now), a single toilet block, and the boundary wall with road
dividers while the other facilities that are currently coming up or have come
up since then seem like a fairy tale come true or God’s kingdom under
construction.

As far as the telecommunication facility at this site is
concerned, currently there is only one Telephone booth at ‘Khatpewadi’ village which
is approximately a kilometer away from Nirmal Nagari.
Interestingly, the owner of the booth (the sole shop in the
vicinity), in ‘Khatpewadi’ village, was not even aware of International dialing
facility through that booth, until one of us dialed a US number and established communication. National calls within India can also be made from the
booth. Cell phone connections and network work well at the site with
intermittent drop of signal strength but at times the call itself drops off if
one comes out of Nirmal Nagari.
Historical importance
The land is blessed as a myth goes and more importantly the
venue has been suggested by Shri Mataji Herself for hosting the forthcoming
Pujas. Fable and myth say, as divulged by local villagers, that Shri Ram and
Shri Sita had come and stayed on top of one of the hillocks immediately behind
Nirmal Nagari, during their fourteen years of exile. The villagers of
‘Khatpewadi’ say that remnants of heavy utensils of stone used by Shri Ram and
Shri Sita can still be found on the hillock. Vibrations at Nirmal Nagari are
tremendous and speak their own importance. One can experience the fountain of
vibrations immediately after negotiating the turn towards the Holy land from
the ‘Bhugaon’-‘Bhukum’ main road at the ‘Bhukum’ Petrol Pump.
Weather
The prevalent temperature range of Pune these days fluctuates
within 22 to 31 degree Celsius. However there is a substantial drop of
temperature at Nirmal Nagari whenever winds blow, specially in the evenings.
These days one can catch the sunrise at around 6.30 am and sunsets around 6.15
pm. The Puja ground is in the open amidst hills and is not covered. Warm
clothing and covers to combat the chillness of the climate, mosquito repellant
and torch may prove to be useful in addition to other individual special
requirements like cosmetics since there are scanty habitation/shops in the
vicinity of this campus.
Looking forward to welcome Yogis and Yoginis from around the
world in the land of the Holy Blessings.
P.S. A few minutes video coverage of snapshots of the journey to
arrive at the venue is under process and may subsequently be uploaded in the
link for viewing. |
